Sophomore Year
Wow! Time flies. I can’t believe we’re halfway through high school.
Sophomore year was such a good year.
This year, I learned a lot, not just academically, but as a person, too. I genuinely enjoyed school this year, and I think a huge part of that was the people. I made new friends, grew closer with people I already knew, laughed a lot, and just made so many good memories in and outside of class. Sophomore year honestly topped freshman year for me.
Acting was also such an exciting part of this year. I got a couple of avail checks for auditions (basically when production reaches out to make sure you’d actually be available if they wanted to book you, which is always exciting), and I auditioned for our school’s One Act play back in March, and I got in. So excited for One Act next year!
And Bible study was such a sweet part of this year. Friday mornings were one of my favorite parts of the week. We had so many good conversations, and there was just so much joy. I’ll always remember things like hanging out outside at Maddie’s going-away party, enjoying nature, and just the really peaceful, happy feeling that came with those mornings. We were definitely sad to see Maddie leave after getting married, but so happy for her.
And to make everything feel even crazier, we literally just had our IB meeting last Friday, which made the fact that junior year is coming feel very real. Halfway through high school is kind of insane. The IB program is about to be a whole new adventure, so... we’ll see how that goes. Yay?
