Romanticizing School: Achieving the Pinterest Academic Aesthetic
Let's be honest...school isn't the most exciting thing ever. We've all seen the Pinterest school aesthetic. I'll help you embrace that lifestyle. You don’t have to "have it all together" to love your life. Romanticizing school is about seeing small beauty in your normal days, not pretending your stress doesn’t exist.
First, let's talk studying. To spice things up a bit, make your study space smell good with candles or essential oils; something that's nice, but not overwhelming. You can make the lighting soft and relaxing (but not too dark that you want to go to sleep!). Feel free to use fairy lights, lamps, LEDs, or just natural sunlight. This will set the vibe for a perfect studying session. Then, you can put on some music to set the mood. This could be instrumental, classical, lo-fi, your favorite playlist, or simply white noise. Now, let's talk comfort. You can add a soft blanket to your chair and put on a cozy hoodie. Pull out all of your notebooks, nice pens, highlighters, organize your things, and get to work.
Now, let's talk school school. Making your study space feel calm is one thing, but school itself is a different story. Some days it’s just loud, tiring, and too much. Still, there are little things that make it better. Listening to music on the way to class. Sitting with friends. Focusing on taking neat notes during a lecture. These activities can brighten up your school day in an instant.
Now let’s talk outfits. You don’t need a brand-new wardrobe to feel good and put together. It’s more about wearing something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.
To be totally real, I don't do each and every one of these things. However, I believe that you can make whatever you want a reality, and I'll do what it takes to help you.
